Former Tennessee Professor Indicted on Sexual Abuse Charges

TennesseeTennessee Tech University and currently serves as the vice chairman of the Cookeville Planning Commission, was indicted on three criminal charges by a grand jury.

According to the indictment, Loutzenheiser is charged with one count of rape of a child, one count of aggravated sexual battery Roy C. Loutzenheiser, 72, who recently retired as the associate dean of the College of Engineering at and one count of rape. The indictment indicates that the alleged criminal behavior was committed against minor children.

Local law enforcement authorities began investigating the professor in May 2015 concerning allegations of sexual abuse that had occurred in the past. It is not known how long the alleged abuse occurred or when it may have started.
